For transactional use, you'll verify your identity with BVN or NIN. Some functionality may be limited until you do.
Kehbar isn't available everywhere yet. If you're somewhere we don't operate, we'll tell you when you try to sign up. We won't quietly create an account we can't actually support.
Keep your sign-in credentials safe. Don't share them, and don't let anyone else use your account in your name.
Tell us if you suspect someone else has accessed your account. Write to security@kehbar.com or use the in-app report. The faster we know, the more we can do.
Make sure the information you give us is accurate. We rely on it to operate, and to keep money moving between the right people.
Kehbar is software that helps you record and settle money agreements with other people. We hold the record of what was agreed, what was paid, when, and by whom.
We're not a bank. The money isn't ours; we don't take deposits. See Security for the operational detail.
We're not a lawyer. We don't give legal advice. The agreements you make with other people are between you and them.
We're not a debt collector. If someone owes you money and isn't paying, we'll keep the record clear, but pursuing the debt isn't our role.
Berit is the assistant on our website. It's software, not a person, and it answers questions about Kehbar from approved product information. By chatting with Berit, you're using Kehbar under these terms.

If you share contact details in the chat — your name, email, or phone — we save them so the team can follow up: about early access if you asked to join, or about a question Berit couldn't answer. Sharing is always optional; the chat works fine without it. See Privacy for how we handle those details.
Use Kehbar lawfully. No fraud, no money laundering, no scams, no harassment, no using the platform for anything that breaks the law.
Don't evade identity verification. Don't use someone else's identity. Don't impersonate.
Don't try to break the system. No scraping, no attacks, no reverse engineering, no automated abuse.
If you're using Kehbar on behalf of a group (a savings circle, a family pool, a shared expense), be honest about that. The terms apply to everyone party to an agreement, not just whoever opened the account.
Right now, Kehbar is free to use. When we introduce fees, we'll be clear about them, and we'll give notice before they apply.
Your banking partner's fees may apply to transactions. These vary by partner and are disclosed before you confirm a payment.
We hold the record. We don't arbitrate. The record shows what was agreed and what was paid. We don't decide between competing accounts of what should have happened.
If two people disagree about whether a payment satisfied an agreement, both their accounts are part of the record. We don't merge them, and we don't pick a side.
If you believe you've been defrauded, your bank's fraud line and the police are the right first calls. Kehbar can produce the record. We can't reverse a payment that's already cleared.
Write to help@kehbar.com first. Most issues can be resolved directly, and we'd rather sort it out that way.
If we can't, these terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any formal disputes are heard in Nigerian courts.
Nothing in these terms takes away your statutory consumer rights.
You can close your account at any time, from inside the app.
We may close accounts that breach these terms, after notice where possible. Where there's an active risk (suspected fraud, suspected harm to other users), we may suspend an account immediately and explain afterwards.
Some obligations survive closure. We retain certain records for as long as the law requires us to.
We update these when the product changes or the law requires it. For material changes, we notify you before they take effect.
If you keep using Kehbar after a change, that counts as agreement to the new terms. If you don't agree, you can close your account.
